I recently worked as Design Lead at Discovery Creative UK where I managed two large scale nationwide ad campaigns. The campaigns were developed and ran concurrently with both climaxing in full week-long take-overs of Europe's largest screen, Piccadilly Lights at London's iconic Piccadilly Circus (below right). The first campaign was for Discovery Channel's new flagship show 'Richard Hammond's Big'. It was a diverse and complex campaign with many challenging commercial sites from standard large-scale billboards, as shown in the example below from Manchester (below left), to multi-screen creatives like London's Holland Park Corner (bottom).
At the same time that we were launching the billboard campaign for 'Big' we were also launching the dynamic Nationwide campaign to promote Eurosport's coverage of the Australian Open. This was another very complex and diverse campaign that required multiple creatives, all expertly handled by our key-artist Asif Rahman. As I mentioned earlier, this campaign had as it's centre-piece a Piccadilly Circus take-over featuring a fabulously punchy motion ad created with the help of the talented Mark Warner.
